He chairs Audit & Risk Committees (Chiropractors Australia, Worldskills Australia, and formerly Bridge Housing) and was a Member of the Finance and Audit Committee of Trainworks. He operates a corporate governance consultancy which specialises in the Not-for-profit and Family and Private company sectors. He provides training to Boards and Board Committees (including presenting programmes under the auspices of the Governance Institute of Australia) and provides corporate governance advice to a range of clients. He has assisted organisations faced with succession planning issues and can work with parties to resolve intractable disputes that are hindering organisational performance.   He has been appointed to senior Executive, Company Secretarial and Finance roles in private sector companies and Government organisations. He was formerly Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary of Employment National Limited (a major Federal Government Business Enterprise) and held senior finance positions with Optus, JML Australia and Explorer Capital. Professionally, Martin is a Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) and a Chartered Company Secretary (FGIA). He is the former Chairman of the NSW Council of Chartered Secretaries Australia (now the Governance Institute of Australia) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).   Martin contributes to the community via his Directorships of Worldskills Australia (a not for profit organisation which conducts trade and skill competitions to challenge young people to achieve work skills excellence), Trainworks and formerly, Bridge Housing (a significant provider of affordable housing).
