I am a Chair, Non-Executive Director, Audit & Risk Committee Chair & Member, Chartered Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner with almost fifteen years of board-level experience, with particular expertise in financial services including banking, state government structures and for purpose organisations. At board level what I do is drive financial and governance rigour with a focus on strategic outcomes and value to customers. I do that by guiding organisational transformation responding to digitisation, changing customer expectations and regulation. Possessing well developed commercial acumen I am also knowledgeable in corporate restructures including mergers in the mutual banking sector. Board level highlights include my Non-Executive positions at Newcastle Permanent Building Society, Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation, CoAct and Mai Wel Limited, along with being a member of Hunter New England Health Local Health District Audit and Risk Management Committee, AICD Hunter Region Committee, and University of Newcastle’s Alumni Advisory Committee. I am a portfolio NED and previously I held the position of Director of Wealth Management and Principal Financial Advisor with national firm Pitcher Partners. Finally, I have a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Newcastle, I am a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australian and New Zealand and hold the Strategic Innovation Program Certificate from Stanford University, have completed the AICD’s Company Directors Course and the ASFA Trustee Director program.
