After being a director of a small software company, Geoff moved to USA, worked for a larger software company and then joined Microsoft in 1997. 20 years later, he is still a Microsoft employee, and represents Australia on several international standards committees that cover IT and Governance topics. Working in roles such as convenor, editor and expert on international standards committees requires: - technical knowledge, - long term vision, - commitment to succeed, - leadership skills and - a willingness to work with and through the many diverse ideas and cultures that all committee members bring. Geoff's goal is to bring his IT and Governance perspectives to the board of a non-profit organization to assist them reach their long-term goals.
