Board Direction, on behalf of Kedron-Wavell Services Club, is seeking to appoint three (3) Non-Executive Directors with HR, Digital & Data or Marketing experience to this award winning, premier entertainment, events and leisure destination organisation.

About Kedron-Wavell Services Club

Kedron-Wavell Services Club (the Club) is Brisbane’s award winning, premier entertainment, events and leisure destination that has been operating for over 50 years in the local Chermside community. Having recently won the Best RSL / Services Club award in Queensland, the Club has over 60,000 members and employs close to 200 staff over two outlets – one in Chermside 15 minutes north of Brisbane and one recently opened in Sandgate.

Perhaps more than anything else the business considers itself to be a good community citizen. The business is a profit for purpose (NFP) organisation with every dollar spent in the Club going back into the community. In fact, they have contributed more than $12 million dollars in the last ten years to community-based services and projects, through its annual Community Grants program, local junior sports, the Prince Charles Hospital, and various affiliated community organisations. To further support this work they are currently considering starting a Foundation – something to leave a truly iconic legacy for the community.

Kedron-Wavell Services Club is much more than just a Club. They have a strong entrepreneurial approach, growth mindset, and a desire to diversify their income through new services and businesses. This aspiration is supported by a defined strategy for enterprise acquisitions (many of which are in the pipeline) including currently owning and operating a Garden Care and a Publishing business.
