● I am a Managing Director, Finance and Risk Committee Member, Research Scientist, and Digital Transformation and Technology professional with over two decades of senior executive-level experience, particularly in the mining industry and the research and development (R&D) sector.
● At board level, what I do is drive growth. I do that through transformation and innovation leveraging my expertise in operations management, strategic planning, value chain optimisation and advanced analytics.
● In an executive capacity, I am currently the founder and managing director of Decisions 360, a business operating in four countries, providing customers with valuable insights from data and how to use these insights to make improved decisions. Previously, I was a Senior Manager and Lead at BHP, where I orchestrated the digital transformation at the world's biggest mining company by developing and embedding advanced ML/AI/Optimisation techniques at all organisational levels. Here, I developed and delivered analytical products that have enabled improvements in the order of $1B+ (AUD) Earlier, I was a Research Leader and Scientist at CSIRO, where I managed a wide array of research and client projects across supply chain management, production management, scheduling, staff rostering, and general optimisation within diverse industries.
● Finally, I am a Doctor of Philosophy with a Major in Operations Research. I also have a Master of Science in Operations Research and a Master of Arts in Mathematics. I am a Graduate of AICD’s Company Directors Course and a certified Project Manager from the Australian Institute of Management.
