Introduction: I am an experienced Non-Executive Director with a substantial C-Suite (CFO and CEO) background. This has developed through broad and diverse exposure across numerous industries, organisational structures and stages of development from start up through growth, turnaround and exit. I have also acted as a trusted private advisor and mentor to Business Owners and Senior Leaders, primarily on growth and development, governance and management, strategy and delivery, exit and succession planning, stakeholder/shareholder management and financial performance. Through my experience I have developed a strong understanding of what is required through strategy, systems and people to actually execute plans and achieve goals and how that is guided and supported through governance and culture. I take great pride in being highly regarded and respected for my personal, empathetic style and ability to engage with and relate to all manner of stakeholders, with an innate ability to make the complex simple. My commercial background and expertise ultimately supports a focus on outcomes and creating value. Experience: Non-Executive Director: I have substantial experience as a Non-Executive director in both new and mature organisations across diverse and challenging sectors including: Child Safety (For Purpose – Deputy Chair) and Social Enterprise (start-up - Chairman) Higher Education (Start-up, privately owned) Financial Advice and Investment (Private, Founders and Minorities) Financial Services (Large Industry Body, transformation) Construction Materials (Private Equity) Within these roles I have sat on and/or chaired various committees (Audit, Finance and Risk, Advice and Investment, Performance and Nominations, etc).
