Jennifer Fitzgerald
Non-Executive Director
I am a Chair, Non-Executive Director and CEO with almost two decades of board level experience across the public and non-profit sectors with experience in the health, aged care, community and disability industries. At board level what I do is drive strategic growth. I have done that by developing a strong understanding of the key drivers for reform for Federal and State Governments. Board highlights include: Directorships with Ability Roundtable (founding Director and Chair), Ability First Australia, Cerebral Palsy Australia (Chair and initiator of the merger with Ability First Australia), Scope (Director and Chair), National Disability Service and asOne Therapy. In an executive capacity I am currently a Chief Executive Officer at Scope (Aust), where I have overseen revenue growth from $83M in FY12 to $383M in FY21, increased customer satisfaction from 86% FY12 to 94% in FY21 and improved back office efficiency, reducing the cost as a percentage of total revenue from 14.2% in the FY12 financial year to 9.0 % in Fy21 financial year. Previously, I was a Group Manager, Allied Health & Community Programs at St Vincent's Hospital and was responsible for the leadership and management of 10 programs across acute, sub-acute, residential aged care and community settings with a budget of $25M and 250 FTE staff. Earlier I was a Clinical Manager, Physiotherapy at Ballarat Health Services, and a Discipline Specific Adviser at Scope (Vic) Ltd. Finally, I have a Doctorate of Physiotherapy and a Master of Business Administration. I am a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders and the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
