Until recently, I was an Employment Consultant at Workways where I was the key frontline Officer responsible for working with job seekers to maximise sustainable employment under Commonwealth Disability Employment Service program. Prior to that I was a District Manager at the Australian Bureau of Statistics – Census 2016 where I was responsible for recruiting and selecting Area Supervisors and reserves, conducting face to face training and assistance and creating and monitoring operational plans for the time sensitive project.
Earlier I was the elected Councillor for Scenic Rim Regional Council and chair of the Planning and Development Committee for 4 years, and prior to that, the Bonding Officer of the Logan City Council where I secured the clearance of $9M in old bonds through investigative research and the use of formal project management methodologies.
My early career started with insurance and superannuation and moved into managing small businesses. Finally, I have a Bachelors of Arts (BA), Graduate Certificate in development processing, Diplomas of local government (planning) and project management, RG146 (superannuation regulations) and I am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
I am currently studying the Graduate Certificate of Applied Corporate Governance & Risk Management with the Governance Institute of Australia.
