I am an experienced leader with board and executive management experience within complex organisational structures. My career has been defined by my ability to drive the formulation of strategic plans, and then oversee the transformation of these plans into effective operational outputs. My vast career experience has allowed me to develop widely applicable skills and expertise, much of which has been tested under often difficult, and/or sensitive circumstances. In the military I served with distinction in combat, intelligence, training and strategic roles, gaining numerous commendations. From my highly successful military career I have gone on to excel in both public and private sectors roles. In May 2016 it was announced by the NSW Baird Government that I would spearhead the state's Veterans Employment Program. By November 2017 the Government reported that under my leadership the Program had employed over 500 veterans, exceeding its target by 162 per cent, 18 months ahead of schedule. In 2017 I was appointed to the board of the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust by the Minister for the Environment and Energy, Josh Frydenberg. Closer to home, I sit on the board of the Multi-Cultural Communities Council Gold Coast, supporting our diverse and aging community. Being passionate about veterans’ issues, I have taken a role on the board of the Australian Student Veterans Association to progress employment opportunities for our veteran community when they leave the service of our country. I bring a wealth of experience to these boards from my experiences in the military and success in both public and private sector roles. I hold a Master of Business Administration and I am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I remain an active member of the Australian Army Reserve and an ambassador for Bravery Trust and the Chauvel Foundation, in addition to being patron of the Matthew Millhouse Salute. I recently provided expertise to the 2018 Invictus Games and was pivotal in the national success of the Games. I am the Managing Director of Trebuchet Pivot, a consultancy firm specialising in preparing corporate leadership teams to make considered and deliberate decisions in adverse conditions. In this role I work with numerous high-performing boards and executive teams across Australia. I am a published author, professional speaker, write widely and have regular interaction and comfort dealing with the Australian media.
