I am a non-executive director and government relations strategic adviser. I have experience as a successful industry CEO, chief of staff to a federal Cabinet Minister and as a press gallery journalist (for print, radio and television). I now help boards develop new ideas, navigate through politics, bureaucracy, social licence challenges and ensure appropriate business culture. Understanding public perceptions and politics are my specialties. I understand deeply the political and bureaucratic systems and also communications, which has been gained during three decades of working in media, politics and public advocacy. I understand the challenges of building public trust and the importance of social responsibility to a business's bottom line. I am a lateral thinker and generate positive, thoughtful discussion at board level, as well as innovative guidance for dealing with politics and bureaucracy.
