Tammy Atkins
Non Executive Director
Community connector and board governance professional with proven ability to bridge diverse stakeholder perspectives and turn strategic ideas into tangible regional outcomes.
As a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with more than a decade of board experience across government entities, I bring deep regional insight shaped by a lifetime connection to regional Australia—from growing up in Meekatharra, WA, to studying in Kalgoorlie and now living on a farm in northeast Victoria. This experience gives me a deep understanding of how regional communities and economies work.
My governance expertise spans current non-executive director roles in health and water sectors, complemented by eight years as Deputy Chair of a major regional education provider and previous experience as an elected councillor. Since 2014, my consulting practice has focused on helping regional communities and organisations solve complex challenges through strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and securing funding for transformative projects. I draw on my background working with government, industry, and community to turn possibilities into projects by engaging and connecting people, facilitating meetings, and writing complex grants, business cases and strategic documents.
My combination of formal stakeholder engagement qualifications, cyber security governance credentials, digital mindset, and hands-on experience connecting communities—both through board roles and consulting work—positions me to help organisations engage meaningfully with stakeholders while driving strategic growth.
