I am a Board Committee Chair, Board Member, Vice President and Board Secretary with over 5 years board level experience across the commercial sector with particular experience in the consulting & professional services, banking and finance, real estate & property management, technology, resources, healthcare and manufacturing industries, with a particular expertise in China’s business and political risk advice. At board level, a highlight includes being an Independent Director and Chairwoman of the Audit & Remuneration Committees with Sunbridge Group Inc. in Australia contributing to strategic development and governance. In an executive capacity, I am the Vice President of New York Stock Exchange-listed Xin Yuan Group, as well as Board Secretary, leading operational strategies across traditional real estate and global strategic development, property management, technology investments in blockchain, and fintech industries. Prior to this, I was the President of Shirley Yu & Co., a China-based strategic advisory firm bridging the business connection and political understanding between China and the world and providing Board advisory services and executive expertise to companies in the UK, USA, China and Australia. I was previously a News Anchor with China Global Television Network and have experience as a Private Banker/portfolio manager with Merrill Lynch. Finally, I have a PhD in Political Economy from China’s Peking University and a Masters in Government from Harvard University.
