 CEO, Non Executive Director

I am an experienced CEO, Director and Non-Executive Director with over 35 years experience. I am an Architect by training and have over 20 years experience in practice including 15 years as a Director of Australia’s oldest firm of Architects in Adelaide. I then transitioned into the role of CEO at the Australian Institute of Architects in Nov 2004 following 5 years as a non-executive Director on the Board. In my role as CEO of the Institute, I also served as a non- executive Director on five non-for-profit boards and three for-profit boards of associated companies. My successes included helping establish Livable Housing Australia as a founding NED as well as establishing the Institutes Foundation serving as an inaugural NED. I represented the Institute of a number of peak Industry Boards and was chair of the Climate Change Taskgroup at ASBEC. I also represented the Institute as Shareholder of two wholly owned companies and one joint venture company. In these roles, I also served as a NED Chairman and on various Board committees. Success included helping our joint venture media company transition into a digital company with an events program to help replace advertising revenue in print magazines.
