I am an experienced Manager, Executive Officer, Corporate Secretary and Board Manager with over 10 years of board level experience across the Queensland public sector. My expertise in the implementation of corporate governance, risk, organisational strategy, performance management and business improvement processes has provided me with extensive skills relevant to managing staff and resources.
At board level, a highlight includes being the Corporate Secretary and Board Manager to the North West Hospital and Health Service Board. I played a lead role in the corporate governance of the Health Service, working with the Health Board and the Health Service Chief Executive in streamlining service delivery functions while transitioning towards the new National Health Reform mechanisms. I have also implemented governance frameworks and processes for the Queensland Water Commission and the Office of Clean Energy.
In an executive capacity I am a Senior Project Officer (Governance) with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, where I develop and implement frameworks, systems and processes to ensure effective implementation of government policies and initiatives. As a Manager within Office of the Deputy Director-General, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service in the Department of National Parks, Sport & Racing, I refined and articulated the strategic intentions of the organisation by coordinating strategy development, policy responses, and briefings for the Minister, Director - General, and members of the Executive Management Board.
Finally, I have a Master of Applied Finance, A Bachelor of Science, and am a member of the Governance Institute of Australia and the Project Management Institute Queensland.
