 Senior Legal Consultant

I am a Senior Legal Consultant, company secretary and risk & compliance executive with over twenty years of board level experience across the commercial sector with particular experience in the legal, financial services, superannuation, insurance, risk management and regulatory compliance industries. At board level, I provided expert legal counsel and strategic governance, compliance and risk management advice. Under delegation, I was the Chair of Health Super’s Risk & Compliance Sub - Committee and its Projects Committee. I am currently a Senior Legal Consultant with Minter Ellison Flex where I provide legal counsel and advice to its clients on secondment. Presently, I am presently with ANZ Retail as the primary legal consultant on the bank's Product Simplification Program. Prior to that, I was seconded to the NAB as a senior legal consultant on the Corporate Superannuation Participation Review Project. I was the Head of Governance for Guild Trustee Services Pty Ltd (GTS), the corporate trustee of Guild Super. As a member of the executive team, I provided advice to the GTS Board to assist with the transformation of the Trustee’s corporate structure and its business operations. Previously, I provided expert consulting advice and counsel to various corporate entities within the financial services sector including Mercer Outsourcing, AIA, Super Partners and Emergency Services and State Super. Prior to that, I was the Chief Governance Officer / Chief Legal Officer at Health Super where I was Executive Manager of the Legal, Risk, Compliance and Governance functions.Before that role, I was the Company Secretary / Corporate Counsel for Kinetic Super. Prior to moving in-house, I worked in private legal practice as a lawyer in Perth for 10 years working primarily in the areas of commercial litigation and insolvency. Finally, I have a Master of Laws (Taxation), Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and I am a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. I am also a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of SA, WA and Victoria and am registered to practice in the High Court.
