Non-Executive Director
I am a Chairman, Non-Executive and Executive Director with over thirty years of board level experience across the public and commercial sectors with particular experience in the technology, communications, transport, finance and venture capital, consultancy, bio-medical manufacturing and advanced materials industries. At board level, some highlights include being an investor-appointed Non-Executive Director of 27 early and growth-stage Australian, US and European companies (see Appendix). Currently I am the Chairman of the Governance and Human Resources Committee and Non-Executive Director for NYX Gaming Group, a rapidly growing listed software and digital content business (Toronto Stock Exchange). I am also a Non-Executive Director with BT Imaging, a photovoltaic systems company serving the largest global manufacturers, and NEISM, a bio-medical company developing a non-invasive epilepsy seizure monitoring solution. In an executive capacity, I am a financial services industry consultant delivering projects in Switzerland, the USA and China, oriented to wealth management. As an executive director, the responsible manager and an authorised representative of AFSL-holder, Triumph Capital, I am also engaged in capital markets and M&A advisory projects that are relevant to wealthy private investors from China, assisting enterprises to access investment from China and form business collaborations with Chinese enterprises. Previously, as co-founder and Investment Director with Allen & Buckeridge Asset Management Ltd, I deployed $280M of institutional, corporate and government funds into a series of equity unit trusts and with my co-founder, invested in more than 60 early stage Australian technology ventures, taking them to exit and returning capital to investors successfully. Finally, I hold a PhD in Organic Chemistry and formerly was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.
