Shaun Dennison
Non Executive and Director
I am a Non Executive and Director with over a decade of board level experience across public and private sectors with particular expertise in economic regulation, public policy development, electricity and gas, and the Australian Indigenous art industry. At board level I sit on the Independent Market Operator Western Australia (IMO) (an administrator and operator of the Wholesale Electricity Market) and have sat on the Information Exchange Committee (working with electricity distributors and retailers operating in the national electricity market).
In an executive capacity I am a Director of Farrier Swier Consulting where I provide expertise in utility reform and market development, the design and application of economic regulation, and public policy development. I have a strong finance background, and I am also a specialist in Australian Indigenous art with my role as the Head of Indigenous Art for Mossgreen Auction House. I have a Bachelor of Commerce and have completed the AICD’s Company Directors Course.
My board and executive successes include:
• Establishment of the IMO board in 2006, and ongoing operational development, regarded by industry as a high quality administrator and operator of the Western Australian Wholesale Electricity Market
• Establishment of the IMO’s statutory gas functions in 2013 which were awarded the Western Australia Gas Industry Development Award in 2015 (recognising the contribution made by an individual or company in developing the domestic gas industry in Western Australia)
• Establishing Farrier Swier Consulting as a respected market leader in providing consultancy advice on economic regulation and policy reform
• A number of successful auction and selling exhibitions of Australian Indigenous art with high sales rates and individual artist records set.
