Glen Dobbie

Glen has extensive experience in “hands on” strategic and operational management, deal origination, funds management, corporate advisory services, equity capital markets, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, divestments and capital raisings. Glen is currently the Managing Partner of The Education Fund. The Education Fund is the first education focused fund in Asia Pacific. The Education fund invests, manages and operates leading education businesses seeking to drive growth. Glen was formerly the Group Commercial Director with Arowana & Co where he was primarily responsible for managing the investment and operational functions of ASX listed, Arowana International Limited. During Glen’s tenure at Arowana International Limited, the company generated 180% IRR returns (over A$100m profit) for shareholders from 2012 to 2014 and its share price rose from $0.35 to over $1.00. Arowana & Co's annualised returns were also in excess of 40% from 2007 to 2014. Most recently, Glen was instrumental in creating the Intueri Education Group (including performing the role of interim CEO and non executive director) which led to a successful A$220m IPO in May 2014. This investment returned foundation investors over 8.0x their initial investment. Glen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales where he was a University Co-Op Scholar with the School of Accounting. Glen is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, Fellow of FINSIA and an accredited Gazelles business coach.
