 Non Executive Director/Independent Chair

I am a Non-Executive Director, Independent Chair, Board Committee Member and Chief Executive Officer with many years of Board experience across multiple sectors, such as Finance, Not for Profit, Technology, Health, Workplace Safety, Education and Sport. During that time I have also sat on and chaired Board Audit and Risk Committees. I have not necessarily been engaged as a 'sector expert' in all those areas, but more for my governance experience and expertise and demonstrated 'sector flexibility', as well as my significant experience in change management and strategy development. From my professional life, I have maintained long term membership of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM), The Australian Human Resources Institute (CAHRI) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) where I have completed the Company Directors Course. My best contribution is having the ability to quickly understand the stage in the corporate life-cycle of the organisation and helping to develop/guide Board strategies to respond to that. Some highlights include: Independent Chair, Major Hazards Advisory Committee, WorkSafe Victoria, NED Melbourne Primary Care Pty Ltd and Progressive Primary Health Pty Ltd; Chairman of Directors, Westpac Staff Training Services, Westpac Retirement Plan Pty Ltd and the Australian Employers Federation; Chair, Western Region Football League Juniors Board and Emmanuel College Secondary College Board.
