My experience as a director incIudes forming a board of directors as the company's inaugural chairman and both executive and non executive roles of well known Australian companies. My career to date across a wide range of industries relates to retail, wholesale and manufacturing. In my roles as managing director of Taubmans Paints and CEO of Dalton Packaging and having previously been CEO and subsequently chairman of my family owned chain of paint and hardware stores, I understand the importance of formulating a successful strategy and have a clear understanding of the factors relating to the current disruptive business environment, particularly in the areas of marketing and social media and the ongoing advances in software technology. Finally I have an even minded temperate and have learnt to listen and not "fire from the hip.
