Carolyn Pillans

A capable director and audit committee member, I have a strong background in both commercial and regulated businesses, government owned businesses and corporations, NFPs, corporate governance and Boards generally. I am an appointed non-executive director and audit and risk committee chair of ESSA Ltd, the national accrediting body of exercise and sports scientists in Australia. I am also a member of both Sorell and Tasman Councils’ Independent Audit Panels (under the Local Government Act) as well as a non-executive director, treasurer and audit committee member of Lifeline Tasmania. I am a qualified Chartered Secretary with qualifications in accounting, governance, risk, compliance and regulation. I have over ten years experience in executive management, including two long-term Acting CEO roles. This experience includes extensive leadership roles in industry amidst business restructures and mergers. I have completed the Governance Institute of Australia's Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance, AICD's Company Director Course and have a B.Com. I am happy to travel for the right Board appointment.
