The NED Program has been developed utilising two decades of experience putting people on boards. Specifically, it has been designed for those who recognise the benefits of a board appointment, want to further their board portfolio, find better opportunities or start their board career, but understand that gaining a board appointment is highly competitive and nuanced and are frustrated with their progress.
It is not a governance course, and we won’t teach you how to be a NED. Instead, working 1:1 with David Schwarz and his extended team, the Non-Executive Director Program’s sole focus is to: Find board opportunities you otherwise wouldn’t; Find opportunities better suited to you and your skills; Get you appointed more often and; Get you a greater return on your valuable time… and a guaranteed board appointment.
The NED Program is unique. Not only do we know what works and what doesn’t, but we also know that every NED and every governance role is unique. Having someone personally guide and advise you through every step of the process, PLUS keep you focused and on track, results in you finding and securing the right board appointment.

Whilst we guarantee a board appointment, this Program is not for everyone. It is essential for a successful outcome that both of us are sure that the program is right for you. Therefore, during the first 30 days, we focus on refining your board pitch and a list of realistic organisations you want to be appointed to. If we agree on what is possible, then we proceed; if not, then there is an opportunity for either you or us to opt out, which initiates a refund of the difference in cost between the executive package and the NED Program per our Terms and Conditions. We still work together, but without the full accountability or guarantee.
It is essential for a successful outcome that both of us are sure that the program is right for you. Therefore, during the first 30 days, we focus on refining your board pitch and a list of realistic organisations you want to be appointed to. If we can’t agree, or if you don’t want to continue, we will refund the remaining balance of your fee.

The training modules can be accessed online via your Members’ Dashboard. David will guide you on when to complete modules and tasks. Personal 1:1 sessions are usually held via Google Meet or phone.
YES. You will be given David’s personal email address are encouraged to ask questions at any time.
You will have access to the training materials and included services for the entire length of your active subscription. The initial subscription period for all memberships is 12 months, unless you have to been appointed and this period is extended.
This personalised process usually takes several weeks and several drafts, going backwards and forwards, before you have your final draft. As a VIP member, we do prioritise the drafting of your board CV.
No! David is a strong believer that there is a suitable board or governance role out there for everyone. You just need to show that you are passionate, realistic, and prepared to put in the work.
If, after completing the Career Planning Session (or within 30 days – whichever occurs first), you decide the program is not right for you, a partial refund and membership downgrade will be offered. Read full T&Cs.

The Non-Executive Program begins when we confirm your initial payment. Once the fee has been charged, it is final, and no refund is available. The program guarantees an appointment within 12 months, or David will work with you until you do. After the initial 12-month period, we will charge you an annual recurring fee of $999 until you cancel your membership. The fee may change—but we’ll always notify you beforehand, with no obligation. You can cancel, upgrade or downgrade your membership anytime by visiting your MyAccount page or contacting Customer Support. Cancelling your membership stops the charge at the start of your next billing term—but your service will continue through the end of your current term. The program’s central focus is the monthly coaching sessions and courses. As such, it is of paramount importance that you prioritise these two elements to ensure you are eligible for the appointment guarantee.
