I have a background as a commercial lawyer working in private practice and as an in-house lawyer. After some years as a Senior Associate in Sydney and Melbourne with large commercial law firm, Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King Wood Mallesons), I changed career direction taking on the role of Pro Bono Coordinator in Mallesons’ Melbourne office.  Since that time I have worked as a consultant/contractor in the philanthropic field and served on a number of not-for-profit boards including as Chair.  I also have accreditation in dispute resolution and partnership broking and (more recently) have ventured into a freelance writing. My value to the board includes: Broad legal background; governance knowledge and experience and professional approach; strong people skills, verbal and written communication skills; natural networking skills;  capacity to confidentally represent and advocate; ability to think innovatively and strategicially; broad corporate and community experience.
